our day in reverse…

geoffrey and i are sitting out back while the kids are running around playing. they are playing cop, the jail is  the greenhouse! we just finished supper, which we ate outside. it is g.o.r.g.e.o.u.s!! we had, for the first time in a long time, tacos! lay mentioned something about them yesterday. while we were at heb for a few groceries i realized if i just got the shells we could have them for dinner. i had some leftover chicken so we used that. both the kids loved them and ate two each.

about 12:30 we headed out to run some errands! i got two pairs of sandals/flip flops at dsw shoes and was so excited! it is rather hard for me to find comfortable shoes my size and the fact i came out with two pair for just over $40 was so great! after that we got some guitar picks for me. yay! gotta get that guitar out again.

after those few errands i decided i wanted to use some of my blow money at buchanan’s!!  i have a beautiful dianthus that geoffrey bought me in a flower pot and wanted to add some other things to it. you know those nice pots that you often see in garden centers that have 3-4 different things growing in them? yeah, i don’t want to pay for the set up, i wanted to create it myself! so, to go along with the dianthus i got snowflake flowers and society garlic.

and then i treated geoffrey to starbucks! we needed an iced coffee after all that! we had such a great day together! we told lay she could skip school today so she would have a day with daddy too. (friday is a holiday) geoffrey has to work the weekend and then if off to virginia for 4 days for a training.

the kids have been digging for worms. some they play with and some they feed to the chickens. our plans for the rest of day entails sitting out back relaxing..maybe tv/movie later when the kids go to bed. i do want to skip out to kohl’s for some clothes for seamy. i’d rather go tonight than tomorrow with both kids. besides, tomorrow i think the kids and i have a date to make easter cookies! 🙂

looking forward to the busy easter weekend that is approaching and celebrating our risen lord! ‘hallelujah, what a savior‘! (take a listen)
