homemade gifts

in month of november i made a few gifts. this was for my mother-in-law…

it was made with a simple straw wreath from the craft store, coffee filters and a hot glue gun. add a ribbon and this silver/gray ornament you have yourself a lovely wreath! she has a wall that she has filled with frames of black and white photos and i knew it would go perfectly nestled among then frames. i still haven’t seen it up!
(i just hung a small one of these in our master bathroom. i love it!)

this ‘catchall’ i made for my sweet niece, alex.

the hair accessories weren’t included…i was pretty sure she had a bunch at home. 🙂

both of these gifts easy and fun to make. the catchall was super easy and i followed this example/instruction. thank you martha stewart crafts and my mother-in-law for sending me the link!

the wreath i found on twitter from the nester. here’s the link – i really want to make the tree sometime! they are pretty easy but time consuming.

i need to look for more great homemade gifts.
